| RC4WD Winch Mount on Poison Spyder Bumper
Hey all. Just picked up an RC4WD Winch and wireless controller, I am having a hard time getting it all installed on the stock Deadbolt Poison Spyder bumper! Does anyone have a good step-by-step procedure for this? If the winch is mounted to the plate, its difficult to mount the plate to the bumper and vice versa. Do you guys just install the winch to the plate, and then drill holes through the bottom of the bumper to attach the plate to the bumper? What is the best course of action? I have one f'd up bumper with a bunch of holes in it and one fresh one ready to go. |

I put mine inboard between the shock towers and strung it through the bumper with the RC4WD fairlead. Sadly no pic on my phone of the fairlead. |

I was looking at something like that too, but that is where my battery is mounted. I'd also like to have it on the bumper for scale looks, and so I can see it re-spooling properly.

hey I'm not exactly sure but from looking at it I think if you took the winch off the plate you could drill out the bumper to mount it right to the bumper. just make a template with card stock or something to mark the winch holes and transfer that to the bumper, drill the holes and screw it down.

I placed tape on the front bumper and marked the holes that went through the plate to the underside of the winch I then drilled through the bumper and ran the screws in from the bottom |

I just mounted one of these to my sons scx10. I just removed the lower bracket from the winch and used a small drill bit from the top side. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk |

They are designed to be bolted in from the bottom, thats why the holes are threaded.
