| SCX10 turnbuckle steering links
I searched but couldn't find anything, so here goes. I was thinking about high steer knuckles to get more turning angle and what it did to link lengths. Well that led me down the road of "can I make links out of turnbuckles?" Well after some research and 1 trial and error attempt this is my first successful attempt at it. Here is the finished install: Here is the parts I used to do it: This setup allows you to adjust toe and if you have a chassis mounted servo, recenter your servo. You will have to drill out the stock offset rod ends that attach to the knuckles and also the traxxas ends your take off the long turnbuckle to use on the short drag link turnbuckle. I can't be the first to try this so if anybody else has some pointers or parts that would fit better, I'm all ears, er, uh, eyes. Hopefully this helps somebody that is trying to do something similar. |
