Good job sir! Incredible paint work as well as a killer wheel/tire combo.

Well thank you. Yeah, period correct wheels were a must for this body. Good thing RC4WD re-released them for the masses!

Ah man, thanks. I'm no Hemistorm, but I definitely aspire to his quality of work.

Thanks very much! I'm revising the front bumper - essentially removing it and adding an ARB option. More pics tonight as I get the final position sorted.

when cutting out the designs in the liquid mask, how often are you changing your blade? those are some really intricate and precise cuts. how many layers of liquid mask did you use? what brand is it? ive used bob dively liquid mask as well as parma.

I usually get one fresh blade per body. Then it gets relegated to grunt work. ;-) I just switched brands of mask, and started using this:

I bought it at a static model hobby shop. Two thin coats was all I needed. I couldn't find Bob's or Parma's in stock anywhere so I had to go with the unknown. Worked really well.

I learned a trick that I use with Bob Divelys mask, I thin with a few DROPs of water and shoot 3 or 4 coats thru the airbrush. You need higher pressure(60 to 70) just like the water based Parma paints , and wicked colors.

That's a good tip. If I ever get my hands on some Bob Dively, I'll give that a shot. Thanks!

Some final details before AxialFest.

I added a very nice RC4WD ARB bumper to make it a bit Overlandy-ish.

A roof rack from Pro-Line with their light bars. These are nice because they'll direct wire to 3S without exploding, and are super bright and very slim. Super accurate looking if you ask me.

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...923/egAVcJ.jpg

Spare tire for sparing.

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...922/w8p1Cl.jpg

Interior looks nice.

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...924/Dy4Hph.jpg

And smaller tires. As I've been told by some friends at Vanquish, that this year is all about tiny tire challenges. So I chose the very nice BFG K02 from Pro-Line. Great looking tire with reasonable performance. I like.

Very happy with the overall look.

Yes I did. Originally their NVS system, but opted to simplify and used their mini light controller.

Re: Imthatguy builds an SCX10 II

This little truck did a wonderful job traversing 150 gates flawlessly at AxialFest this year. I ran with Badger, Chino63, 1BadJeepBruiser and HotWheels. We had a fun time playing a game where if you rolled, had to trail fix something you went to the end of the line. There was no clear winner, but the laughs were endless. I'm going to play that game all the time. Friendly comp.

While I was there, Ty from Tekin was kind enough to swap out my as yet unused ROC412 for something new and unreleased. All I can say, is that with the latest Tekin software on the RX4, there's a ton of potential in this system. The hill descent feature on the drag brake is worth it's weight in gold. Very, very chuffed. Best trail truck ever? Maybe!

This looks incredible. It makes me tempted to build a Roverspeed(?) TRX-4 Defender using the Proline Back Half Cage. It looks like the cage will fit in the back of the defender. I'll just remove the rear wheel wells.
