Light Bars Anyone tried a light bar other than the axial universal? I am curious if something like the Gear Heads trail torch or the like would fit in the roof rack. |
Re: Light Bars A 5" bar should fit. |
Re: Light Bars I got myself this one. It clamps onto the front of the roof rack. I haven't installed it yet though. If I want to run multiple light kits/bars, how do I power them all? If it was just one, I'd hook up to my receiver, but what do I do if it's 2 or more? Forgot the link! http://www.rcmart.com/xtra-speed-uni...?cPath=438_900 |
Re: Light Bars how much trimming does the 5" require? |
Re: Light Bars In my opinion the 4" bar looks ugly.I will wait untill someone VP or axial does on option for a proper lightbar to fit there |

Re: Light Bars RC4WD's 4" Lightbar, and using the Icon plastic shock reservoir cut down as a spacer http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4317-62143.jpg |
Re: Light Bars It says the opening is 5.2, the gear head 5" bar is 5.24 - may work |
Re: Light Bars Has anyone tried that GearHead 5" bar yet to see if it fits without much trimming? |
Re: Light Bars Axial has an option already: Axial Racing - Universal Rigid Light Bar Set The medium sized light bar from the kit should be a direct bolt-in. I'm planning on getting it installed this weekend on my SCX10 II, and can post pics when that is installed. |

Re: Light Bars Yes Axial has one I'm just not fond of it so looking for alternatives. It seemed as others said that the Gearhead was close so was just wondering if anyone has tried it. |
Re: Light Bars Axial one looks good if you install a led strip instead of regular 5mm led. |
Re: Light Bars So how is light output with led strip vs 5mm leds? |

Re: Light Bars Where do you get your strips? |
Re: Light Bars Buy them on eBay, they sell them in rolls, you just cut up the length you want, and solder wires to them. |
Re: Light Bars Link to the eBay led rolls you used? |
