| ToyZuki Scion with OD/UD for RTR trans
I have ben putzing along with this build for awhile. Chassis was a runner for testing the trans ratio...decided it was time to finish it up and do a build thread while I work thru the rest of it. As most know, ToyZuki has a OD/UD option for the kit version trans. I want a OD/UD set up using the RTR trans or original scx10 trans. Bugged Ben for a long, long, long time. Did I mention a long time Anyways, this is what he came up with. Using the gears from the RTR like he did for the t-case in the original t-case and adding one more gear and shaft from the kit version.. It has a bigger ratio spread than a set of OG axles with OD/UD but seems to work well so far. You can also swap the d-lines to give the same ratio to both axles. Although, this will also make the ratio a bit faster than stock. Could be good for trails and G6, haven't changed the d-lines for testing yet. This is the second version and ToyZuki is still refining some. You may notice the frame has been notched. This is due to the fact that the width of the t-case is different than the .2 t-case. Future chassis runs will accommodate either or t-case without having to notch the chassis. More to come |

I am also trying out a new servo /CMS mount. This allows you to turn the servo 90*, great for short wheelbase rigs to get the servo under the hood. This does place the pan hard fairly close to the servo horn in my case, I am not running stock scx10.2 links. I had to make a panhard out of 3mm rod. I will be changing the servo horn and adjusting things for bit more clearance. It just barely kisses the horn currently. Last edited by hotwheels000; 01-05-2017 at 10:29 AM. |

Know what really grinds my gears? Exposed 48p gears. Its just never a good idea. 32p has enough gap to allow sand through, 48p, not so much... |

Front bumper, brush guard and stinger completed. Only took two trys, to embarassed to even show the first attempt lol it didnt flow and was a brick. Rear bumper almost complete, I need to mount it to the frame tonight and add the ball in the step. It is also thin wall K and S tubing, both ends are capped so it looks like a solid piece. Bumper and body will both tilt/hinge from the rear to access the batteries and stuff. You can see a bit of the internal cage also. |

Not sure how i missed it but it looks awesome! New class 2? I like that new servo mount, I ended up cutting the whole front end off both of my frames because I couldn't get the servo back far enough.
