| Clodbuster Body For The SCX10 II
Tamiya Clodbuster Body modified to fit The SCX10 II 12.3 wheelbase made easy. Just need a little model car building experience. A New or Used Clodbuster Body. Two sheets of Evergeen Scale Model Styrene plastic .080" Thick (2.0 mm) A Dremel with a good strong cutting disk. A tube of Testors Model Glue. Cut the body just behind the roll bar support. Spread the body apart 1 1/2" ~ Add a cut out piece of plastic & glue it to the under side of the body. Then add the inter side panels, You will have to hold a lighter to the panels to shape it to the body curves just slightly. Add side rails to the bed of the body for extra support. Now to add some styrene plastic to form the outer panels. Add some body filler sand and paint. ( "Your Not" making a Show Truck ) Keep that in mind it's a beat-up old trail truck so it will come out with flaws the more the better. Really the hardest part is lining up the mounting holes after the body is done. I am adding Axial fender flares to mine but not necessary. (Sill working on mine, Still need to add the outer side panels add filler & To paint it ) { I have posted some pics of my build to help you build yours } ~ Good Luck With Yours !! ( I will post pics of mine when its all done and painted ) Last edited by Stomper Fan 777; 10-20-2016 at 07:32 PM. |

Up-Date on the Clodbuster Body project, Got the fender flares on, Had to raise the body to clear the 2.2 ~ 5" tall tire's. Also got the outer side panels on the body. Filling the gape between the chassis & body with a pair of side pipes or running boards. Last edited by Stomper Fan 777; 10-21-2016 at 12:21 AM. |

hah googling away i landed your pic in images.. i then went here and see it is a current topic!!!! congrats.. for 2017 I want to do a 1:1 and while looking at the clodbuster lid and specs https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamiya...amiya_Bullhead Wheelbase: 10.63 in (270 mm) did not match Chevy Truck Model Year Differences, List of Models Offered And Years Offered - Chuck's Chevy Truck Pages.com K/10 & 20 8' bed WB 131.5" curious on how close yours is? can you measure up for me as im curious how close you made it to size as you most likely just wanted to match it to the scx10 ii? ive got WB 131.5" (13.15") full length 212" (21.2") I am a horrible fabber so this will be cool (some day..) and the fender flares are on my 1:1 as well!!!! LOL... so you say 2.2's ~ 5" which would equate to 50" tires... yeah im on 40" hawgs thus 4" tall tires (not sure yet which)... |

Growlers would be close to 40's I just dropped this body I had laying around on my short Scx10 II I might run it but I'm thinking goon back to 12.3 wheelbase for performance. The short wheelbase likes to tip over to easily for my taste. Oh yea those are 1.55 growlers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
