Soon I hope it'll break and we can start hitting the trails.

Right!

When the weather breaks, I will be testing these vs my current favorite Tsl's...

Lol, Worse! I had to fill a set of rims. Right...

My wife and I are probably on equal terms, Shoes to tire set ratio...

Edit: At least thats what I tell myself...

I got her out today...

Hit the riverbed for a little over 4 hours, killed the aluminum servo horn on my F150, so I ran the Honcho today...

I see you have a rig with duratrax deep woods and one with Goodyear MT/R.

Can you compare the 2 and give me your opinion?
I was mostly set on the MT/R but there is something about those HUGE deep woods that i can't shake off.

I haven't run the Mtr's yet. I will be doing a comparison to Proline Tsl's in a couple weeks on my Honcho.

The Deep Woods are mounted on my buddys truck, (HLDMYBR) and are a awesome tire. I am throuroghly impressed. They grip every bit as well as my old standby,Proline tsl"s. The lug spacing is very similar and they move dirt, mud, sand, and snow like a shovel. Yet they still move the rig forward while not digging too deep.

The little bit of time we have run the two tires together we match line for line in climbing. Our trucks are set up very similarly with a advantage going to my rig due to foams. But my had been breaking everything I can possibly break, while the Bronco is still going strong, with minimal breakage.

The foams are too soft and the sidewalls have no support, so with anything but the lightest truck they fold over and are almost undriveable.

Re: Trail Honcho, For Trailing

Yeah foams are the most important thing.

I already have new crawler innovation double deuce 6.0inch ready for either of them.
Thx for the feedback.

Helena use to hold the scale nationals back in the day and have some Rocky trails if you can locate them. I think rimini at the bottom of McDonald pass (Helena side) is am epic area.
Weather's changing and trailing is in the air. ;)

Also thanks to HLDMYBR for the sand ladders, they fit the truck perfectly.

Still waiting for good weather for a tire test from the big three, Proline, Pitbull and Rc4wd...

And what was left. At this point I realized how late it was and booked it back down the hill. I had a nasty 200' tumble arrested by a tree fortunately. Amazingly nothing broke.

Thanks, I couldn't agree more. Western Montana is a amazing place to live. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful place.

Ha. Saturday night we got 8-10 inches of snow, and todays high was just above freezing. Being above the 45th parallel the snow and cold just comes with the territory.
That said I wouldn't trade it for anything.

A nice long trail run today. 8 ish miles, with a mix of rocks, snow, ice, water crossings, mud and dry dirt. So a little bit of everything. We went around Como lake, south of Hamilton Mt.

A view from the dam.
