Default The Fresh Yota build

This is a much delayed build thread for “Fresh Yota”. It is still a work in progress.

How it looks now:

It started as an SCX10.2 kit and last year i had done an XJ hardbody, lighting, boom phat axles, rock beast XLs, boom Krait wheels, hw 1080 esc, and cheap 35t motor. It performed well but was top heavy:

Then fast forward to a complete tear down early spring. I flipped the trans, added BowHouse trans cradle and hd front tray, mip / junfac driveshafts, Holmes torquemaster, ssd and strc black axle parts, strc rear frame brace, RC4WD Zeon winch, marlin bumper, SMF cage, mojave front cab, ssd wheels, and more.

Test fitting body and cage:

Ran a comp as it sat. Took 2nd with 532 out of 540 possible points. It did very well.

Painted the cab blue and the interior tan. Really happy with how it turned out. Also added a scale map of Michigan . Then ran it at another comp. it took 2nd again with 537 out of 540 points. Very happy with that.

Next I need to clean up the windows and make panel lines, add a few stickers, figure out a driver, add the lighting, and change the winch line out for a sweet new DSM line.
