Hobbywing Fusion - kit transmission I’m thinking of getting the Hobbywing fusion for my UMG10. Does the 550 lenght fusion motor fit the kit transmission in my UMG10? And what do you think of the speed with the 1800kv fusion. Is it to slow? I like a little punch in my trucks.:ror: |
Re: Hobbywing Fusion - kit transmission I don't have a UMG10, but I do have the 1800kv. I love it in my BOM, faster than a stock TRX4 in high and real nice slow crawling Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk |
Re: Hobbywing Fusion - kit transmission I don't have the kit transmission, I run the AR10 RTR transmission and it bolts up just fine but the length was an issue. I had to cut out part of my battery tray to get the motor to fit. Its the same length as a 550 brushed motor. It is maybe a little faster than my stock 35 turn Axial motor was, but the low speed control is excellent. So far it's been a great motor and I have no complaints. However something I have noticed is that with the FOC on, you have a tendancy to be more aware of any slop in the drivetrain. |
Re: Hobbywing Fusion - kit transmission Desmo, I have a UMG10 that I had a 550 brushed motor in with no issues. It was a 1750kv inexpensive motor and both the punch and low speed with the stock UMG10 gearing were quite good. The Fusion is known for incredible low speed and top end should be decent as well. I actually just picked up a 1800 Fusion and not sure if I want to put it in my new Gatekeeper build or my UMG10, which currently has a Holmes 2500 Revolver Snubnose in that I love. The Fusion would be a great choice for your UMG10 and wouldn’t have any issues fitting. |

Re: Hobbywing Fusion - kit transmission Hi Desmo, any updates? I'm also looking to pair the fusion with the kit transmission, but I'll end up with an heavy rig, anybody could tell if I'll be in trouble? I plan to use the 1800 kV with a 11T pinion, mostly low speed crawling and trailing, nothing extreme. thanks! |
Re: Hobbywing Fusion - kit transmission I think you’ll b fine. Have the same motor run n 3s with a 25 tooth pinion on my gatekeeper and it barely gets warm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
