Using dog bones and axle shafts in the front end a Wraith compared to one with

Front universials and no dog bones or axle shafts

I have 2 Wraiths, one was a kit and had universals and the second

Wratih I bought in pieces, and the dog bones and axle shafts were in the parts

I can't really see a difference other than price and the universials turn better

I ask cause I'm doing 2 sets of SCX10 axles with the XR mod

And was curious which is better dog bones and axle shafts

Or universials, cause I need axles shafts and

Want keep it reasonable priced

there is no point to the xr mod if you use the stock dogbones. dogbones have issues with turning radius from the get go...they surge while turning near their limit.

the limit on dogbones is pretty low anyway. use the axial universals or similar style axle shaft... toss the dogbones in the trash..

I did the XR mod to the set of SCX10 axles, too widen them to use with my 1/6th scale builds

Stock SCX10 alxes are not wide enough and AR60 axles are too wide

So I'm making my own axle tubes and my own version of a XR Mod

I'm not sure of how long of axles shafts, I need since I doing my own thing

If I used the long or Wide Beef tubes or Burly tubes, then XR shafts would work

I'm better off buying the long shafts and cut them to length

Just trying save money
