Default Brushed motor to replace stock unit for more speed/tourque?

Any recommendations? I read one thread where somone used a 550 traxxas 12t motor. Is that a good idea? What can the stock esc handle?

I am running kind of an odd ball motor, it came out of a discontinued 15.6v Craftsman cordless drill, I didnt care for this set up on 2s but on 3s it really came to life, the same motor was used in Panasonic drills too, it was a direct fit and uses the stock AE3 ESC, has gobs of torque and dosent get hot at all, my biggest problem now is finding more of them...erepacements.com seems to be the best bet for drill motors...
just my $.02 worth
