| Axial Wraith RTR vs KiT
I just wanna say that I am still a newbie and I dont use to spend thousands of dollars in ONE rig but I realy like the warith and I one to have the most efecient inexpensive rig posible but I just want to seperate the pros and cons of both the Kit and the RTR. I just know this: Kit Version Pros: Lower aluminium links (they should put the upper) universal Joint axles softer springs softer tires diferent colors and all kit pros(fun building now better the car etc) you can add your electronics Cons Is just the chassis Its going to be more expensive no lights and for some the building issue RTR Version Pros completly assemble you can drive it as soon as you get it you can use it and buy upgrades (not wait to have everything) Cons you will need to upgrade all electronics some day will need more upgrades this is what I know maybe I am wrong but please tell me what you think!!! |

You say the kit has different colors.. Just wanted to make sure you knew it comes Clear and you have to paint it.. Those nice colors in the picture are someone else's handy work and only for show. Also right now there is hardly $50 difference In the price so it would seem they are over charging for the "kit". If you bought the RTR and sold off the 2.4ghz Radio, the reciever, the motor, the fairly good quality ESC, the LED's, the stock tires and wheels, and your nicely painted original panels you could buy the clear panels, supplies to make steel links, CVD's and new tires and wheels and would $ ahead. The Kit would have to come with all aluminum Knuckles and "C's" AND the LED's for me to buy it.. Sent from my highly abused iPhone using Tapatalk |

It'll never come with knuckles and c-hubs. That's just not how axial does crawlers. I could see them lowering the kit cost quickly because it's a bit high before they add more. The esc is no slouch. Add a Bec and it will run on 3s! I'm running 2 in my XR. The front axle up grade is a huge plus too. They just started pre orders for the uni shafts and they are 35-37$. Soft tires and you have a much more capable rock truck. I'm still planning on a kit when they come out but only because I want the better tires and diffs.

I agree with the esc but the motor is not so good... a awesome tekin 35t will be great on the rtr maybe a chisels or something like that and a softer springs |

completely agree- I would not buy a kit for 300.00. At 250 I would be game, I think.

Chisels = pooo since the day they came out. The stock RTR tires look real, sound real, and do a decent job. Softer springs = $6 at any hobby store...seems like I'd rather get Lights than softer springs in my RTR, since I have a large stash of springs from years of RC involvement. | |
