| Wraith Stinger bumper
I've been messing around making bumpers, skids, and now a whole rear tube frame for my SCX10 hocho - 1tenner's honcho!. My buddy has a Wraith and broke his front bumper, so he wanted me to try and build him a stinger type bumper for it. So we looked around and couldn't find any stinger examples, but I took some ideas from some other bumper examples and came up with this. What do you think? When I get a chance I will get some pics of it mounted... Here are a couple of pics of it painted and mounted... And a couple at full compression, as requested! Don't worry about how many posts you get its all about the views. I like it, compared to other after market bumpers you have it screw in like the real bumper somewhat. I wanna see it mounted and painted!

Yea, I only got cell phone pics of it mounted before my buddy took it home. I'll get some soon. This way of mounting it gives the servo maximum clearance. That was the main issue we saw with other bumpers... |

That looks promising. I'd like to see it mounted. If the intent is bombproof, you might want to add small triangular gussets where the rear lower portion, with the holes, attaches to the tube. And also underneath where the other end of that tube meets the stinger bar. Good idea making it high clearance above the servo. Please get pics of the suspension at full stuff. |

| New pics!
I added some pics of the painted and mounted bumper to the original post, including 2 at full compression. The bumper clears the servo completely and the shocks bottom out right about the time the steering rods would hit the servo arm. My friend is going back and forth about having a winch. It would be easy to mount if he relocated the receiver box to the back. Then I could just add a platform to mount the servo type winch. |

It needs a steel plate across bottom to look right. It looks to open the way it is right now.

Looks good though it looks like you might want some sort of cross brace along the bottom to strengthen it and also to protect the servo.unless it gets in the way of the servo.
