| Axle questions
I'm in the middle of my build. A wraith that I bought used from here and got completely scammed on, so I'm rebuilding everything. I just took apart the axles and the stock gears have a lot of wear. I'm going to buy the axial bevel set, but I don't know which ones I should get. Are people running the 36/14 in the front and the 43/13 in the rear to over gear? Just wanted some opinions. Thanks |

I run the stock ratio. It depends on what your looking to do, more crawling or rock racing. Harley states on a rig like the wraith where they tend to be alittle faster and peeps use bigger motors it puts alot of strain on the drivetrain when using od/ud.

Maybe I should've added that one of my setups is od/ud with an mmp and pro4 motor. Drivetrain beefed up of course. Fast or not it works, the push when steering with identical axle gear ratios was frustrating.

So it's best to run the stock 38 HD up front and run the 43HD in the rear?! | |

| Re: Axle questions If I was going to mix ratios that is what I would do. I can't say there is a best setup, just different. Personally myself I would like to put the UD gears in both axles to reduce stress along the drivetrain. Yes it will slow things down but I'd like the extra reduction near the end.

Excellent advise. I'm currently running the ax10 bomb proof trams with the VP dig. I guess OD/UDing it would be pointless seeing as I have a dig . I think I'll just under drive the front and rear.
