Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build So, The Wrexo Early Bronco build was a success and ran great.. 4 wheel steering is amazing and Im digging the independent suspension....But, theres one problem..... Im at close to 12lbs.. loaded... http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial...ly-bronco.html I was off to see what could be done to this. http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...glerWraith.jpg |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build It was purchased from a guy locally with some pretty nice ups. I ran it all of 5mins before parts were stripped. http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/.../WrexoWr01.jpg |
Love these builds. You do great work. |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build The hunt for upgrades is still on for the new Wrexo Wrangler but the object of this is to be low and lean for the Recon G6 RTX comin up soon. The competition is tough and with challenges like this, Lil Zombie was tired. http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...13/zombie1.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...3at33651PM.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...2022301987.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...2022250245.jpg |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build I managed to cut the roof out and added some upper wraith links to the cage. (Thx VP) I was going to go Ultra 4 with the rear but man are they a lot of work I dont have time for. The roof cut almost fits the lower cage area clean. Atleast the roof is still visible with the Poison Spider logo http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...r/DSCN0768.jpg |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build Ive been deciding on wheels. I couldnt say no to these when they hit the F/S section.. TSS Versantes w/CFM scale nuts....Super Rare.. http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...715_235925.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...716_010503.jpg |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build Looking good, I like how you used the rest of the roof for the back. What is the total weight your shooting for? Will Carbon Fiber sheet work to replace the aluminum chassis plate? That would cut some weight. Rob |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build That was one of the things I was going to replace. I have 3 prototype chassis as of now and one is C/F. It will mount everything to it, so I can eliminate the tranny pan as well |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build Nice stance and Im diggin the look. It makes peace with the old racer in me...... Small rolling stock will also keep the heat down. The Flatty 2.2's are the smallest I know of..http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...716_105528.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...716_105656.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...716_105712.jpg |
Looks great. |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build I decided to shoot the TSS wheels to Dan W. for his latest Build and go with the Hot Racing 2.2 Alum. SLW Type A Beadlock Wheel. Im diggin the scale nuts and removable hubs. http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...717_223918.jpg |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build Only problem is, the standard offset is closer to a .225, so some drilling is needed and I now have VP .650's on the rear. Theyll even out the front nicely in width cause a stock exo is wider than the wraith axles. http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...718_010530.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...718_011504.jpg |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build Wheels turned out nice on the Pitbulls. Im running a foam thats a proto right now which rounds out the tires for added grip. http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...718_054434.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...718_054356.jpg |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build Very aggressive looking profile Scott. Nicely done sir. I dig it! |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build Thanx Brotha.. Im going to need a seat.....! |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build After adding the Vp. 600's Im right at 12.5" width.... http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...0a9a44375e.jpg |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build Gettin ready to swap out the lower pan for another one. http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...719_075615.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...721_020518.jpg |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build Ive just primed the floor and inner tunnel or the fan... http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...719_075513.jpg |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build I wonder when Axial will build an off the shelf Wrexo. The Twin Hammers is nice, but too small. This is a great build, nice work. |
Re: Mad Skinz Wrexo Wrangler Build Got everything in.. Im thinking the fan is too small. I may have to go bigger. http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...719_101237.jpg http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...719_101316.jpg |
