There is a vendor on here that makes custom axles and I wanna say I saw a vanquish center ar60 diff housing with gmade portal axle tubes on each side thus making a portal ar60 axle "thumbsup"

You did. CarterFab (Clay) just made a SCX10/AR60 chunk with custom length axle tubes and G-Made portals.

I'm sure he could do 3Racing portals too. Neither portal will handle a brushless Wraith though.

I ment portal boxes sorry for that. I just got the wroncho together and its alot of fun but I need more ground clearance under my diff and I don't want to run 2.2s on this rig. So iam just looking to get bolt on boxes. And they need to handle brushless

G-made and 3Racing are both portal boxes. They attach to the axle tube/housing.

The G-Made MIGHT be able to handle brushless, but not an extreme amount.

Will these bolt on to the ar60s?

Good question. I guess I need to see if my scx knuckles will work on the ar60

You will have to switch to 0* Cs. Totally possible with a dremel and some time.

Don't forget the stub shafts will need to be swapped to scx/ax style. I'm pretty sure the inner shafts will need to be shortened to move the pivot point of the shafts in closer to the center if using scx/ax C hubs.

Slightly shortened RTR AR60 shafts would work right?

Yea if I'm thinking correctly the inner shaft has a bit more length from bearing flange to the outer end of the dog bone on the AR60 shafts. Now that I think of it if that's the case the outer bearing would need to be left out or the housing slightly modified so the bearing fits further towards the center to allow for the shafts to be shortened.

I know the stubs have a longer cup portion on the xr/AR60 variant than the scx/ax but use the same bearings so that's the easy part.

It seems like it wouldn't be to hard to do and it will give me the clearance iam looking for but how much of the turning radius will I lose? Is it possible to mix the ar60 CVD with the scx10/ax CVD?

Check out High Altitude Performance. He was engineering portals for AR60’s. I believe they are available now.
