Default What upper links would you Wraith people recommend?

I am trying to get all, or at least most of the parts I will need for my kit when it is back in stock at my LHS(Mid-May they say). I already ordered electronics(Tekin FXR, 35T motor, gonna try a solar D772 servo and if that doesn't work out, I will get a hi-tec). The kit comes with aluminum lower links and I have an aluminum drag steering link ordered. But I don't think the kit comes with the aluminum upper links and I will probably want to change those out. I am trying to build it right the first time, rather than building it and having to take it all apart to change parts later.

R2J Kustoms has 3/16" upper links complete with Traxxas Revo rod ends.

I was going to suggest those too. I run R2J uppers and lowers. They're great quality pieces. But if you're feeling cheap and think you can handle it you could always buy some 3/16" rod, Revo ends and build them yourself. Will need a tubing bender too.

Straight links I could make easily enough, but being bent like that means I probably cannot. I do not have a way to bend the rods smoothly enough to make them look decent. lol

Do a search for R2J on the forums, he's got good stuff and it's priced right. Can also check out Vanquish Products as well.

I also recommend R2J Kustoms...I bought some for my DMG Stiffy rig and they were excellent and spot on for length and very well made! I would buy them again in a heartbeat!

The stock plastic uppers have done well for me so far, but I really HATE the sloppy plasic ball ends from Axial. You can wiggle the axle some around even when they are new. Traxxas 5347 are way better, tight feeling even after heavy abuse for some time. My kid drove the rig straight against a sharp edge and snapped VP Titanium drag link right off, but the Traxxas rod ends held up fine. They're strong.

In the past to save a little cash, I've cut the ends off the factory wraith links, drilled a 3mm hole in each end and replace the rod end with a RC4WD end. It will eliminate the slop and not cost you much. Give you some time to save up for something a little better.

Problem isn't really the rod ends, though. The stock plastic links will start to rubberize very quickly with any sort of bashing runs. Mine lasted about 3 packs. Actually...now that I think about it, it may've been the lowers since I had the RTR.

Axial Wraith 3/16 DIameter Titanium Link Set ax30792 ax80083 ax80073 ax80073

Third Add to Cart option down if you just want the upper links by themselves. I'd recommend getting the entire 8 piece kit (or the 10 piece if you havent upgraded the steering links yet), then everything matches and you wont have to worry about the uppers being too long for the lowers..
