Default Behind The Axle steering setup (pics inside)

It's been a while since I sold my last wraith and back then not many had tried this setup yet and I wanted to share what i did. I just made a bent symmetrically bent link with a 30* bend on each side that linked up the trailing steering arms that were used on the XR10. This is a nice way to free up some space on the front of the axle.

That's pretty cool. Did you notice any performance gains/loses? With this setup??

Cool innovative thinking....After you put it through it's paces let us know the turn radius please.

Very cool.

If you flip your shock mounts over would it still clear the pinion

I got to test it today, It worked great! The turning radius is just like stock with a little bit more ackerman angle towards the end of the throw (the inner turning wheel turns more than the outside). As for clearing the pinion with the mount flipped, I'm not too sure. You can bend your link accordingly if you are up to some fabrication stuff. Where there is a will, there is a way!

I wonder if running a spacer off the steering arm would help ? the balls look maxed out.

yeah probly could fzb something but won't unless the drag link is moved to the rear. Its now more venerable to rock hits by itself

Flipping the servo around then puts the servo case in danger maybe dome kind of reverse dinky mount would tie this system together as a true behind the axle steering

This is what I put together
