Default Ax-10,scx trans in a wraith?

A few weeks ago I picked up a wraith chassis and I am now in the process of putting axles and a trans into it. I have a trans from a ax-10 and wondered if it having shorter out drives if that is going to cause problems or not? I am sure that someone else has done this, so any tricks or tips would be helpfull.

I used a AX10 Trans in mine. I did however put Crawler Innovations C.I. 4340 steel; 5mm - Axial Trans Outputs. This was the end result.

Installed the MIP Wraith drive shafts. GREAT FIT !

Did you install the MIP drive shafts for the AX10 or for the wraith? Is there any real difference? I picked up a set from my LHS a few days ago. I'm also running the AX10 bomb proof setup with the VP dig. I figured seeing as I have the ax10 trans I should run the ax10 MIP shafts. Hope that's right :/

My 1.9 Wraith

I trimmed a lil bit of the lip off the skid, doesn't need much for mip's. Running ax/scx mip's, only difference between those and wraith mip's is the hubs. Slightly longer and 3mm vs. the 4mm of the ax/scx version

Length is the difference. Wraiths are longer that is what I used. With the Dig you will still require additional length. You could however purchase the end portions to extend the length.

I got my wraith CVD shafts last night. The only difference is the TWO drive hubs that come off the trans. They need to be 5mm long.

Yes they are shorties. The thread pitch is the stock axial m3x11 pins. "Thumbsup"

In the description of the MIP shafts they say they include the 3mm pins but that is not true. I didn't receive any with mine so just use the stock ones that came with the truck

How is that setup working, have you had any problems with the ax10 transmission on the wraith chassi?
