Servo location ?

Is it better to mount the servo in the chassis or on top of the axle . Setting my wraith up for rock crawling and was just wondering wich location is better . Thanks .

Re: Servo location ?

Chassis mounted servos are for scale looks only. Axle mounted performs better and doesn't require a panhard bar.

If your panhard isn't setup correct it causes bumpsteer. I use 4 link on my rigs. Easy and effective, if you start needing sorca points you can attack other parts.

The chassis mounted servos are more trouble than they're worth. If you're not looking to gain any scale points or to hide your servo on the chassis, then it's waste of time and expense. The axle mount is less complicated and performs better.
