So what did we decide was the best slipper for the AX2? I don't want to search and mine slips worse than a penguins ass on a ski slope ins 2nd. I only running a roc412 on 2s. Thought about the slash 4wd slipper but if there is something better I'm all ears |
Re: So what did we decide was the best slipper for the AX2? So everyone is running the stock slipper? |
Re: So what did we decide was the best slipper for the AX2? I run the stock slipper in mine on 3s. When it starts slipping too much I clean the pads with rubbing alcohol to remove any oil, dirt and moisture. I'm geared pretty low (60:12) so that helps. When I decide it's time to upgrade I'll probably go with a Robinson Racing slipper. |
Re: So what did we decide was the best slipper for the AX2? All 32p gearing I run a 60t spur from duratrax. They have a 56t as well. Or the Emaxx 58t will work as well. A 60/12 ratio is what I use. Mostly on 3s |
Re: So what did we decide was the best slipper for the AX2? I'm on 32p with 56/11 and it slips like hell taking off in 2nd but hooks nice in1st. It does slip in 1st when the tires are in a real bind. |
Re: So what did we decide was the best slipper for the AX2? I've got a slash slipper on my from Robinson racing 32p 56t and a 13t spur on a tekin pro4 3300, I got the slipper nut tightened pretty good so it doesn't really slip at all |
Re: So what did we decide was the best slipper for the AX2? Stock slipper tightened till it stops. 3300kv trailmaster pro, 56/13, 3s and 6mm tranny/MIPs. Rides wheelies on pavement, only slips if it's really really bound. |

I thought I had the nut tightened down plenty, but clearly I was wrong. |
Re: So what did we decide was the best slipper for the AX2? Traxxas setup on mine. Aluminum friction pads. |
Re: So what did we decide was the best slipper for the AX2? I ended up just using a slipper from a slash 4x4 and it's working great. |
Re: So what did we decide was the best slipper for the AX2? I use the 48p steel slipper from RRP made for the wraith. |
