any chance that mini motors would work with an adapter? just thinkin a smaller motor would give better link and ground clearance

Let me help you out. He wants to know if it is posible to run a 380 motor or mongoose brushless system in XR axles.

Thay will mount up will HH adapter but the KV is just to high. A Mongoose motor is 4400kv i think and you need 1800kv to 2200kv. If you could find a 2:1 gear redution unit then it might work. I tryed RC4WDs 2:1 380 gear redution unit and what a junker. The pinion and pinion shaft is'nt even the right size and then the motor wont even mount up to the unit.

Hes trying to get more clearence without clocking the axles. Its an idea he came up with last night. He dosent have the rig yet, but once he figures out what he is going to get for it he will start it.

| It would have made more sense if the goal were weight reduction. The axles are easy to clock and the gear cases are small and the bottom of the case is in line with the axle so they don't really need much clocking.

i just want to have more room im not even thinking brushless anymore im still gonna clock em with hr c's it just looks like the stadard morors still get hit on breakovers and saving weight isnt really a concern being that the motors arent sprung weight. i just want to do someting a little differnt
