I built some from 3/8" delrin rod, i'm redneck so bent them using to box end of a wrench and the table I also bend 1/4" aluminum rods that way. Their not perfect, but hey I'm not sellin em. Everyone useses delrin, not sure the properties of nylon, I would think for cutting them out of a sheet use a 3/8" sheet and a bandsaw would work but me thinks a scroll saw would be better. my $0.02 |

Just for reference...T1E lower links are approx. 1/4" delrin sheet. I know it's fun to make your own...but is it really worth it? I only ask because I spent some time making my own round delrin lower links back when I was running a AX10 to save some money because there weren't any options for the AX10 at that point so I would have had to buy something and risk modifying them to work. At this point in time there are quite a few options for premade and ready to go links for the XR10 and they're affordable. The Crawler Innovation delrin lower links should work and are made to allow you to cut them down in length without running out of threaded section. No worries...I remember pricing delrin when I bought the delrin rod for my links...the sheet is fairly priceyand you usually have to buy quite a bit more than you need. Splinters! |

I agree. You can pick up delrin links from multiple vendors on here, and you don't have to put any effort into attempting your own! |

| I have access to a full machine shop which makes link making a lot easier {push buttons, load stuff in machine... you get the idea} and even then I run into issues, and I am making round links |
