Default Matt's XR Beetle Juice V4-10 Build

So, for a christmas present, I got the awesome new XR-10, since ive been crawling a ton lately with my 1.9 comp, so i thought i should move on to 2.2, and didnt feel like messing with the TT of 2.2 Shaftys, so i went ahead and got a MOA style Crawler, and my parents got it for me!

Life Started out in tons of plastic bags in the XR-10 boxes, piece by piece, it was a land of searching. it was crazy.

In total, i spent about 7 hours and 30min to complete the build!, to bad i dont have my electronics yet.

Build List:
-Spektrum DX3R
-Hot Bodies Rovers
-Novak M2 ESC
-CKRC 45T handwound motor
-Hitec 7950TH

-Y-Towns beetle juicev4
-Crawlers innovations low clearance universal link
-Crawlers innovations high clearance universal link
-Vanquish products transmission case
-Vanquish products motor plate
-Ckrc servo guard
-RC4wd Gears

Save yourself the hassle and do the 9MM bearing upgrade or get some VP bushings, once this is done you will have a great platform to start off with

X2 so you just need to buy 9mm bearings or bushings....and not gears after the stock bearings eat the whole gearbox.

yup, too bad the weather is too humid, and the paint can doesnt reccomend humid weather :(

Forgot to add, i did the 9mm mod right when i opened the box! too bad one of the bearings got lost.. 1 of the bearings is still 8mm though

i really cant wait! im shaking my foot soo much, its like the first time i got a girlfriend, but without the bitchy-ness haha!

too bad i dont have electronics, and cant afford it till next month even with chores, lawning my neighbors lawn, working for my parents.. mehh

btw what bent link angle do you guys reccommend? 30 or 50? front/rear? thanks!

I'd say 30 up front and 50 in the rear for maximum clearence.

I'd look for some derlin links that can be 4mm. You'll break a lot of rod ends with 3mm.

what i might do is get 4mm metal bent links from CKRC. then use the plastic sliders from the stock and try to match it up with the bents

just now i put on the CKRC drag link i think its called for the steering.. will dremel the axle tomorrow so the link will sit closer to the axle. then i wont get caught on the rocks..

outa the box, it feels too stiff even i havent taken it out to the rocks yet since i dont have electronics... but what shock springs do you reccomend?

thanks! but how about those new axial "black" shocks they are 1.04/in.. whats Losi? i like a really soft spring...
