Default Non-Comp 4WS Viper XR10.

Disclaimer:

This is a non-comp crawler........

It has lights because I do most of my driving after dark when most people at work go home. Try it some time.

Ok now that I have put that out there. Here is what I have so far:

XR10
2 Hitec 7955TG servos
Viper chassis
Axial light kit
RPM light bar
Axial light buckets
Traxxas big bore shocks
stock wheels
Losi comp claws
Twin FXRs
Tekin 55t motors

Lunsford links on order
Stock gearing

Canvas top with lexan hood and windshield
The rear axle has a stock rear axle housing. It has stock C-hubs and knuckles as everyone is upgrading so I got these cheap. The universal shafts from the front axle fit the rear axle with c-hubs and knuckles.
The front and rear steering links will be replaced when money allows.

I am waiting on a replacement motor as I smoked one last month. I still have a lot of items to finish like install a cab to hide the electronics, clean up the wiring, and get some action figure put in there…. Future plans are VP servo armor, front axle battery mount and new steering links.

Great looking setup! Which radio are you using? Love the windshield and hood.

I can tell you're way better than I am. Looking at the battered top of mine I'd guess those lights would get ripped off about 3 minutes into my first pack.

I really like the way they look, though!

I am using a DX6I stick controler. I haven't had it on the rocks with the light bar as I have been waiting for about 6 weeks on a motor.

I'm using an RDS8000 stick radio and really like it. Thought it would be fun to setup rear steering--it's cool to see someone doing it!

Let us know how the lights work out. My son and I frequently go out in the late evenings--lights would be a blast! As long as I could keep them attached.

Very cool!

the roof mounted lights def put out enough light in front of the truck. as far as how long they last... we will just have to see. I have them soft mounted so they can take some abuse the links that hold it on the side of the cab act as a hinge. They can lay back flat or forward to the windshield.

I am still playing with the mixing on the steering. I am going for independant axle control and a mix that will make the rear axle turn the opposite direction as the front. I don't see the need for crab walk very often.

Cool!
It kind of looks like it would be the US military's version of an updated, tricked out H1 Hummer, or something along those lines.

Nice xr10, It would be really cool if you had any videos of it running. I am extremely interested to know how much the 4ws improves it's performance.

Thanks guys for the comments so far.

The turning radius is about half to 2/3's of what it was stock.

I just got bored and attacked the canvas with whitout and a black sharpy:

I have more canvas lol. I can always change it....
