Re: My Axial/VP10 Well i've done a few new things. Dumped the stock batt and elec. trays. Started to install the Axial CF electronics tray and have RR motor mounted tray on the way. Thanks Eisman. Post some pics up in a few days."thumbsup""thumbsup" |
Re: My Axial/VP10 flip shocks to get that weight lower ! |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Well it's been a long crappy winter, but i added a few more goodies to my XR. I tried my hand at some ti links. Bought a really nice bender as i didn't feel super comfortable about bending ti in a vise. They came out pretty well. I also added Axial's electronics tray so everything is nice and low in the skid. I'll post up some pics in a day or so. Cheers"thumbsup""thumbsup" |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Well here goes. Trying out a new program for pics and this one is a test http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...1886-34544.jpg Few more to follow tomorrow. 1:15 am now and had enough of changing pictures (500 plus) from raw files:shock: |
Re: My Axial/VP10 |
Re: My Axial/VP10 I like your ride! What happened to the orange? http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...7/IMG_0073.jpg Here's a pic of mine. Just upgraded to carbon chasis, chaotic steering link and a set of Rovers. |
Re: My Axial/VP10 I bent up a set of Lunsford links for more clearance. Came out pretty well also"thumbsup""thumbsup" |
Re: My Axial/VP10 I heard they are nice. I want to build another XR10 with the Chaotic Switch chasis and links when I can afford it. |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Well i guess its time to go on a diet. Paid my membership to YTC for a weight reduction. Just sprung for a Secret Agent 3.5. Looking forward to another rebuild of sorts:mrgreen::mrgreen: |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Sweet! Can't wait to see how this one comes out. |
Re: My Axial/VP10 "thumbsup"Got a lil package from YTC today from the mailman!!! Can't wait to start on the SA 3.5 Gonna have to wait till next week though. Starting vacation tomorrow till Monday. Then i'll post some pics and weights before and after"thumbsup""thumbsup" Looks like it was worth the wait(or weight!!) |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Got any pic's of the Axial titanium front and rear shafts before you installed them? |
Re: My Axial/VP10 I don't but i will be giving the axles a look at during the build. Why the concern?? |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Got SCX 10 alum shocks and half dozen bags of titanium screws and alum lock nuts patiently waiting at home. |
Re: My Axial/VP10 3 Attachment(s) She's finally done!!! Awesome work on the chassis. I decased and smashed a couple of CC Mamba Micro Pro esc's, added some titanium screws and SCX shocks. Here's a few pics. A big thanks to all on here for all the tips and tricks. But most of all a very loving and understanding wife"thumbsup""thumbsup" And the greatest hobby store ever.. Mighty Small Cars. Got me started in this hobby/obsession 20 plus years ago. |
Re: My Axial/VP10 1 Attachment(s) Here's a shot of the electronics Attachment 207437 Also got a bag of Traxxas aluminium pivot balls. Now i just need to clean up the work area. My space got taken over by our washer and dryer. |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Good job on the Electronics "thumbsup" She's looking good :) What's the RTR weight? |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Thanks Everett. She's still a bit of a pig at 4lb 14oz. I haven't really done any lightening to it. It is fully loaded with VP trans cases, front and rear axle tops and Axial alum knuckles, hubs and lockouts. Also no weights at all and balance point is a shade behind the front links."thumbsup""thumbsup" |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Been a bit since my last update. Had a little gremlin in one of my micro pro's. One popped from a little ignorance on my behalf. I had been running FXR's since she was built and my CCBEC wired direct to my servo. With the Tekins you don't have to remove the red wire and i assumed (wrongly) i did the same with the micro pro's. In turn it also took out my receiver. Anyway it's all good now. New micro pro and robbed receiver from my B4. I also have some beef on the way with some Hulksta 6mm axles. Swapped and shaved my Boss Claws back on and she's under 4.5 lbs now. 4lb 7oz to be exact. Will post up some pics here in the next few days."thumbsup""thumbsup" |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Hey Losiking! Glad you got it working again. Kinda sucked it was acting up the last time we got out together. I finally have my XR10 up and running. We should hit the rocks so you can give me some tips. I am headed out to the usual spot at 5 today, after work. still waiting on my final servo, but the one I stole from the cherokee sorta works for now. |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Thanks Ken. I have some bent Lunsford lower links if you're interested. Let me know"thumbsup" |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Oh, would they work on my stock chassis, or are they for the SA? I might be interested. I am hating the stock links right now, no clearance for nothing, but I dont have the money i need for my switch/link combo I want. |
Re: My Axial/VP10 Yea i bent them for the stock chassis. We'll talk. Always here to help a brutha out"thumbsup""thumbsup" |
