My problem is the front axle seems to float when going up any type of slope. I have 2lbs. of weights in the front between my knuckle weights and weights in my tires. I am running Traxxas big bores with mini t springs, 30wt. oil, and 3 hole pistons. I limited the front shocks 1/4" internally. Are you still using the same link mounting as you were in your thread. Thanks in advance!!!

It sounds like the problem isn't weight. You actually probably have too much. I am only using the knuckle weights and that is plenty. It's hard to tell without pictures, but it sounds like your upper links are out of whack. The rears in the wrong place can either blow out your traction, or give you way too much. (what it sounds lik eyou have) |

Yep sounds like the upper links need some attention for you setup to improve.

Sounds like you need to take some traction out of the rear with the rear upper links. |

What holes are you running the upper links in? Front and rear... It sounds like you need to raise the rear uppers to the top hole or second hole down |

2 PBS just in add on weight? That's half of my new rig! I think it's probably your link geometry. Post some pics so we can see your setup. |

Also you can see I used to have the rear links in the top middle hole and one from the top middle hole.

Start by raising the rear uppers to the top row on the chassis. You are putting too much traction down. Also... make sure you don't have any binding in the shocks that would lock them out. Also... how steep are you talking about and does it raise the whole front end? Last edited by Harvo; 11-05-2011 at 10:41 PM. |

| Will do. I was reading Krawlfreak's thread late last year about limiting shocks, what is everyone doing?

Definitely move the rear uppers to the top hole. Does the chassis squat down on the rear springs when climbing too? The rear springs might be too soft since they're laid all the way forward, you might try moving them to the rearmost hole too.

you can also put a longer rod end at the chassis side rear upper and run it in the inner most row of holes... up in the rear will help as well. what do you mean the shocks dont compress? that could be the issue.... |

I should have that they compress very little. The springs are a little too stiff. But this this thing just picks the front axle up on the slightest incline.

With two pounds of weight on the front you should not have that type of issue. Links look well but what height are you running the front of the skid? | |

I would guess the issue is not the chassis. What pinions are you running? I would say start with trying a smaller pinion in the rear or if you have two esc's dial the rear esc down some. You could also try stiffening up the foam in the rear tires. And i would think you could take about a 1lb of weight out of the wheels.

Try running your shocks in the holes the closest to your axles.
