| cboggs' 5th D MarkII chassis
Being a new team driver for the 5th Dimension I received a little something today in the form of the coming soon MarkII chassis. Being in the PNW this chassis should suit me well as it is a bodied chassis and will help keep my electronics dry when its pouring down rain! I am using Chaotic's Progress lower Ti links that fit this chassis well. And lets not forget the awesome 5th D Negative Space Ti wheels that have been holding up with no issues to report and are very light weight. I hope to get this on the rocks this upcoming week before our next comp. Some badass looking rigs you got mate. Are the rear links binding at all? Got some clearance going.

Thanks guys, glad to be apart of the 5th D. There will be some more updates soon, still need to make those upper links from lighter aluminum, rebuild the shocks, mount a body, do some tuning... before our comp on Saturday. |

Welcome to the team.. So how are your batteries holding up with the br minis ? My br mini LVC would shut down my esc's. I'm using Gen Ace 450 and CBP lipos. What batteries are you going to run? |

Ive been running Thunder Power 3 cell 850's while I wait for some Brood 500's to come in. Havent tried the Gen Ace 450's in it yet, Im going out to tune today so I'll let you know how they hold up.

| Re: cboggs' 5th D MarkII chassis I would bet the thunder power 850's will work awesome... team brood 500? Idk. For my setup (berg) 850mah would be a tight fit.

Alright, tested out both batteries today. The 3 cell GenAce 450's did fine, not a lot of power but they lasted about 15 minutes and didn't get any glitching. The 3 cell Thunder Power 850's are 70c continuous/140c burst and are just plain AWESOME! I had this car jumping everything with the power on tap and felt like I was running 4 cell. My advise, if you can fit the Thunder Power 850 you wont be sorry you are running them. As soon as I can get some Brood batteries I'll give them a shot and let you know how they compare to these. |
