digging the rover shave. Just did a set last night almost the same. Kept the small vertical lugs on, on the front inner sidewalls. Havnt tested them out much but should be gtg.

Havnt seen those Kyosho shocks before they look good.

Interested in seeing the knuckle weight lowering kit of yours.

I just received a Chrysler minivan and an Escalade to detail. I will be busy till some time tomorrow. I would rather be finishing this re-build, new chassis thread.

IMO shaved Rovers will always be cool. That's a sexy chassis. Great to see the XR10 getting some love.

Great chassis..
I am crazy about the 2.2pro bodyless carbonfiber chassises..
I have 4,, soon 5..
Cant sell my chassises,, I am sort off collecting 2.2pro chassis.
and always when there is a new chassis I am very happy.
Do you make youre own links to this chassis..
I also run the velvet kyosho shocks,,and I love them,,so smooth and 100% leakproof..

Re: BarryBelvedere's XR-10 RE-Build w/ The NEW AMX Chassis!!!

PS,, did read that you have youre BEC at 8.4V and you are using the 7980 servo,, I also have the 7980 but hitec say it only can handle 7.4V..

Re: BarryBelvedere's XR-10 RE-Build w/ The NEW AMX Chassis!!!

Yeah i am aware of this Mr. Floki.... I am a maniac! Says Stormin2U, and I like to push my luck in the search for ridiculous performance! I have been running it like this for a more than a year now...At that voltage! i have ripped the servo clean off the front axle 5 times now...I no longer have this issue and all will see why soon.

Re: BarryBelvedere's XR-10 RE-Build w/ The NEW AMX Chassis!!!

The Idea behind this chassis is so that anybody running a T1E , Y-town or any other similar style chassis can re-use their existing links ( I used my DD links but had to use long ass Jato rod ends all the way around instead of the short Revo ends)and just switch to a newer, better &lighter chassis where replacement parts can be acquired. I broke my sniper so I bet there are others out there that have broken cabs. I have been using My Yoshi DD Chassis for two years and it would pull lines that NO other rig could wish of doing. But it was unpredictable is some cases, with no warning at all it would start flopping onto its top like a dying fish. And I managed to break the top and middle plate at different times. The DD is most likely THE lightest possible chassis ever made! I believe with hardware it was about 52 grams. The AMX is around 74 grams. The Y-town BJ4 is about 99 grams.

I decided to create my own chassis after wanting to buy a Remedy 3.5 and I realized I have all the Carbon, standoffs & hardware right here in front of me. The only dilemma was...Do I start from scratch and think outside the box like Yoshi did or do i str8 up copy someone else's idea. So I made a modified version of the CCC boxer for my 2.2 sporty with some minor changes like the gearbox mounting holes are 4mm shifted forward, Its made from 2.5mm thick carbon, The lower link screws are countersunk, The lower link spacing is the same but the chassis width is narrower by 3mm on each side, Added body mount holes toward the rear because i dislike the way the post never stays where you want it and the bottom edges of it have a 45 degree angle. That was sort of my practice re-design chassis. It works TITs! Credit goes to the other carbon cutting Barry."thumbsup" My Boxer re-make will stay a one of a kind because it is wayyyy to similar to CCC's Design. I will not be making any more like it!

The AMX was going to be called the AMC because it's kinda All Makes Combined, But Beest and I thought that AMX sounded better and I can continue with more designs named after bad ass muscle cars. When looking at the AMX you can pick out all the good ideas from 5 different modern highly preforming chassis put into one design. I finished cutting it out by hand a week b4 ECC! It was set up with no testing 3 days before i drove 19 hours to Alabama For ECC. I had no idea if it would be crap! To my surprise it is awesome, super predictable & easily pulled great lines. I had a wire rip off my deans plug while upside down on the 3rd course of the day trying to flip myself back over so I had a crap score on course 3. I finished 3rd in 2.2pro behind BTF 1st and Winner123 2nd. When we ran the finals course gate 4 with the 60ft cliff a foot behind the climb! If you rolled over backwards trying gate 4...Well Beest found out the hard way and his Berg went byebye:cry:. BTF and winner123's rig wanted nothing to do with the wet small but technical climb which would have been easy in the dry.

This Rig was the ONLY one to finish the finals course that day with 1 of 4 bonuses. There was 2 seconds left on the timer at the end. It was an epic run I wish it was on vid! Some pics were taken by Purp with my phone but 50% of the pics my rig was a blurr! I Used mostly horsepower to blast in the air thru 5 of the gates Dukes of Hazzard style. The only gate i hit was like maybe gate 7? and i didn't have much of a choice...I know it was possible to not hit it but time was the enemy not points. Fishmaxx set up a great finals course!"thumbsup" For thoes who missed 2015 ECC it was your loss! Be there next year!

I spent about 5 hours drawing up the new design. I drew up 10 different chassis, some of then looked soooo stupid i destroyed all evidence and pics because some were retarded looking. Although my link & shock positions were all the same from one to the next, I knew where they had to be, Cant really compromise on that! Its alot harder than it looks to draw up something good looking that hasn't already been done unless you combine all the good aspects into one. I have AMX#1 on my XR-10. Beest is in possession of AMX#2 He will be doing a build thread with Berg axles as soon as he gets away from working on his Dodge Diesel.... AMX#3 is pictured here...It will be the first AMX To be sold on RCCrawler.com These will be less expensive than most other chassis! P.M. Me if you would like to get it before These are put in the Vendors chassis section. Skid and body panels are to be made out of lexan to keep the weight down. Remember... These are all hand cut off of a steel template. Not CNC cut. Not all are exactly the same but soo damn close you can't tell. Anybody who orders AMX#3...If for some reason you break a plate within the first 3 months. P.M. Me and I will get another one out to you as a warranty replacement after that they are $20.00 each. The Team Brood background is only there because it looks good. The only Brood motor I have/run is in my 1.9 mini. I run H.H. in my pro rig"thumbsup"

Chassis Measurements-------8 3/16" long-----3 3/16" tall-----3" wide------

Lower Link separation 32mm

Lower link spacing from front to rear 40mm center of eye to eye

Upper link spacing from front to rear 43mm, 36mm or 31mm....adjustability.

This forum is very small, my little friend.. Lol..

"Our rigs wanted nothing to do with..."
Hmmm, seems I remember making gate 4 clean? It took a little time tho :/

Tires might of not wanted it. As BTF and myself where running BC's, but I talked mine into it! ;)

However, I will take Zero credit away from your drive skills or your Nothing to Lose, bad assness on that finals course! You drove your heart out and that's all that matters! [emoji106] [emoji41]

At FLOKI.. I also run all my 7950's, 7980's, and HH servo's at 8.4v.. Or did.. I bumped my 7980's back to 8.2v, because of the hours of drive time I put on them, on days that I have time to practice..
I'm not sure if it's the 8.4v's or strain I put on them, but I've had to send a few back for repair.. (Then again, I've bought all of them used to begin with. Not knowing how the OG owner treated them) ;)
