Fort Worth is a solid 3 hour drive each way. Glen Rose and other quality Rock Parks are even further. I'm OK with driving, but I want a challenging day on the rocks for that type of time investment. It's also not very feasible to develop a comp season series when the comp locations are literally over a 100 miles apart.

On a different note, ETXRCC is hosting a Get Together this weekend at Barnwell Mountain. Would you be interested in participating in a small comp if you're interested in attending? Here's a link:

I think mineral wells state Park is a good location for you and others to come the rock there is amazing and there are cabins to stay in. I'll try to post some better pictures of the rock but there is so much more it's hard pic a good spot for you to see how much is there. Yes I will try to come up.

Re: Snapon Boy's XR10

In the past, State parks such as Mineral Wells have been hit or miss. If the wrong park ranger is working that day, you will be asked to leave or stop running the trucks on the terrain. It's happened a few times in the past. Same thing for Enchanted Rock. In those situations, it may be better to ask for forgiveness than permission when caught LOL. It is for these reasons why Crawler Innovations met with the Barnwell Mountain leaders to create the opportunity we have. Barnwell has a large rock garden as well as 18,000 acres to play on. So for ETXRCC, Barnwell is always a safe spot to plan a comp.

No apology is necessary. I did not attend the get together either. I would rather plan a competition or a open format get together that was really more of tutorial or instructional opportunity for people to ask questions, understand the rules, build courses, and drive/play.

Thankfully my wife saved and got me the tires from purpmart. That was my Xmas gift and a friend of mine owns a powder coating company and I got him to do my vp partsl so that was a trade out. The chassis and links I sold my old stuff to cover. I've been running around like crazy. Codyboy designs sent Jr the losi xr10 mod axles to test out. We have been working on r/c stuff a lot lately.
