Looks like Dwak Racinf has another upgrade for those who do not like squishy steering.

Has anyone taken out the bell crank assembly yet? Does it have bearings, or bushings, and what size are they? I see the number is AXA1212 in the manual, but nothing comes up for the spec. on these. I want to order bearings before the bell crank arrives.

thanks in advance

I'm waiting for this but the rack came in and looks great. I'm not sure if I'll be upgrading the camber / steering rods to Lunsford titaniums yet, I like the idea of some flex but these 2 parts flex more than a little.

I just installed mine...well 1/2 way put back together. I used the stock roller bearings instead of the bushings. It's fits OK not perfectly. I had to do some grinding on the little bulkhead tab. The stock cross plate fits a lot better/more clearance. Not sure why.

Got my parts from Dawg in 6 days. Cast Parts...look good. Not sure how they will hold up... I'll be installing on Friday and trashing them on Saturday.

What parts are cast? I only have found CNC parts from him. The steering plate and bell crank I received are CNC parts.

we had similar experience when installing Bills's. Not sure why, when you measure the two pieces, the Aluminum piece is a few thousandths thinner than the plastic rack.
Either way, the steering is a lot less sloppy

What makes you think these are cast?

Those aluminum parts look good, but I hate ordering off ebay when product is shipping from China. However, Dhawk reviews are very good. Anyone know when AXIAL will offer these type of upgrades?

Dhawks shipping is less than six days to your door, at least it was for me. I got my order quicker than I get things from some places here in the states.

As for Axial, their upgrades are usually limited to simple things like turnbuckles, link mounts, etc. They usually leave things like bell cranks and the such to the after market.

After I installed and removed this a few times I have it in now nice and free. Doesn't hang up on anything and I reused the stock roller bearings but had to use his plastic bushings and screws instead of the stock shoulder screws.
In the end for the price and minor tinkering.......it's worth it all day long.

And I don't think these parts are cast...you can see the mill marks in some places.

The parts are definitely not cast they are CNC parts. They're all listed that way in his product descriptions and it's obvious looking at them that this is the case. Skipstr71, where did you read or why did you think these are cast parts?

Regarding the need to grind the front bulkhead tab down - Looks that Axial redesigned the front bulkhead with the tab removed. Maybe to help with front diff issues not sure. In the end though, it should remove obstacles to fit the steering parts. So maybe order the new bulkhead to avoid the need to tinker.
