Default Traxxas Summit Tires

I am brand new to the Yeti XL as I purchased a used truck today. It came with Traxxas Summit stock tires which are about an inch wider than the stock Yeti tires. I haven't tried running the truck yet, I'm waiting for a new ESC to arrive.

Do you think the truck will perform ok with the wider tires?

The Summit tires are thin and soft...I suspect they will expand and explode VERY quickly. Make sure you get video - should be super awesome!!!

A wider stance always helps with the stability.. I run the proline trencher x tires. More than 1 inch wider than stock and really satisfied!

Unless they are taped inside they will not stand up to the brushlss motor's power. Rubber way too soft.

I tried them and they really don't work. They are far too thin and fold over too easily. The only thing they help on is crawling, but aside from that the stock tires are far better for speed use, and hopefully when the PB 3.8" tires come out they will do both things better...

Thanks for the feedback. I've ordered Proline pre-mounted set of 3.8″ Interco Super Swampers. Can wait to try them out.

The Summit tires are on eBay as we speak. :-)

I've been having a real problem with the stock tires on my Axial Yeti XL kit...I just can't seem to make them stay together after more than a minute or two of running.

Luckily, I had these sitting on the shelf and they're a perfect fit. A bit wider but shorter and they look pretty good on the Yeti XL.

I had my eye on those as well but I took the advice from the Big Squid Yeti XL project.
