You haven't seen tire ballooning yet! :ror: I was amazed with how well the tires held up all day.

Pics coming right up.

Anyone else spy the dead " victim of BMX jump " directly below the Yeti in the air next to the backpack ? (zoom in on the hi-res , not on the sand, in the bushes.)
Looks like a busted hingepin/ arm /hub , not a biggie for me as this sort of jump abuse is going to wreck anything , mine will be used more in the terrain as a 1:1 Ultra4 , not 10ft in the air.
Bring it on Axial, let the mods begin !

The rims and tires held up to some good abuse.

Same corner as the next picture hitting it at full speed.

Check out the left wheel/tires flexing from hitting this corner at full speed.

I drove out of this, it will be in the video.

I believe that was an R&D rig that someone else was driving & racing around with me earlier.

Looks like you really put it to the test at speed, but I'm wondering if you did any lower speed/rough terrain testing. I mean the whole point of an Ultra4 style solid rear axle rig is that it should be at least decent at both right?

Is the front diffy open? It looks like the tire in the air is getting all of the power ( and trying to explode off of the rim) while the tire in the dirt doesn't seem to be getting any power?

From what everyone has been saying yes the front diff is open.

I asked this earlier and it was breezed over. The front is either open or broken (so open I'm sure) and it looks like in some pics the back is open too?!!? anyone?

*edit nope the back is locked, I just went over all the pics..

I am guessing Axial will be releasing a bunch of aftermarket support once these are out.

If in the meantime, one can always jam the front diff with silly putty. It works okay, not great, but then you can always go back to open if needed.

But if I were I betting man, once these hit the shops, there will already be aftermarket support (lockers, links, shift servo assembly, etc).

I believe this is the one Harley (as well as myself) just purchased for it.

EXO Locker, Blue Monkey RC

I am not claiming it will fit, clearly.
