inner fenders or under body ? I'm looking for either inner fenders or some kind of inner body for my yeti. After spending a couple hours cleaning it I realized I could save a lot of hassle if I could just keep all the crap out to begin with. |
Re: inner fenders or under body ? Try using a Outerwears from a Traxxas Slash. It won't be a perfect fit as they don't make a Yeti specific one but it will do the job. "thumbsup" |
Re: inner fenders or under body ? My solution, which many people have used with great success! http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/19...omment=2117254 Some preview pics http://i1382.photobucket.com/albums/...ps53c7fccc.jpg http://i1382.photobucket.com/albums/...ps250f69c8.jpg |

Re: inner fenders or under body ? I've had quite a few like notifications on this in the last few days, and noticed that the original link I'd posted didn't work any more - our forum's sever died, but it's now back up again with a new site. So I've updated the URL to the page where I work the magic :D Link here too for convenience: Zombi's Axial Yeti - Page 7 - Rock Crawlers - MSUK RC Forum Glad it's been useful to folks. |
Re: inner fenders or under body ? X2 for Outerwears or Dusty Motors shrouds. I run them on everything, they save a ton of time on cleaning and give you some extra protection from light moisture |

I run it in my Slash and works great. What model do you use for the Yeti? |
Re: inner fenders or under body ? 1 Attachment(s) Mine is just some scrap metal from a candy tin. I found it easier to mount it to the tub rather than the body. It fits nice and snug to the cage to keep most of the crap out. But i need to make a new one that wraps around the sides more... |
Re: inner fenders or under body ? 1 Attachment(s) And one with the hood down |
Re: inner fenders or under body ? I did the same. mounted to the chassis. works great |

if you want water protection, Outerwears seem to repel water better than Dusty Motors, Both work well |
Re: inner fenders or under body ? I used a fine aluminum mesh fixed to the cage like an inner fender. Sorry I cant post photos but its has diamond shaped holes of about 1mm size in it, its designed to keep leaves etc out of roof gutters. It wont stop all dust and water but it keeps most of the dirt and stones etc out and also allows good air flow. It also looks pretty good, |
