Default Spur binding

So I noticed that after installing the SSD 2 speed kit the spur is very hard to turn by hand when the slipper is tightened. It is easier to turn when the slipper nut is almost off. I have all the pieces assembled per the instructions in the kit manual, any ideas? I'm not sure if this issue was happening on the stock setup.

Is your slipper rubbing on something? Are the gears meshed properly in the case? I had a issue where the gears wernt set right and adjusted them and fixed it.

The gear mesh seems fine from what I could see and feel when turning the shaft without the slipper. The slipper plate (AX31067) could be rubbing, after all it just sits on plastic.

Since it spins freely when the slipper is loose, the problem is after the spur gear in the transmission. My guess is that when you opened up the transmission to install the 2 speed gears you over tightened either the transfer case or the main tranny. Take the whole thing out and loosen all of the screws and try spinning the spur. Then hand tighten (no electric screwdriver) the screws until they are just barely "taught". That's not really the right word but you should get the idea.
