Default Uh - Oh, Yeti TT's Got a New Competitor!

Look what the cat dragged in... Check it out...

Losi: Baja Rey:1/10-Scale AVC RTR 4WD Trophy Truck(Blue): Losi (LOS03008T2)

Looks just short of a carbon copy of the SCORE TT to me... I'd love to see the two side-by-side.

The whole layout looks different. Looks more stable in the air too. I like the rear axle other than the trailing arms attach lower than the axle. I know what Im getting next!

I might just buy the Losi and then one of the Yeti shells. I just love the look of Axial's modern and retro TT's. Although the Losi may not have near as much aftermarket support as the Yeti. It's probably too early to say that though, as it literally came out today.

Liking the desert claw tires too. Kinda like the rc4wd dune tires. Gonna be interesting. Hoping more big players step up!

Removable body panels are pretty trick too.

I like the sway bars F/R, the interesting batt box (beside the rear driveshaft ?) and the full cage. I also like those body panels, but I wish I could paint it myself... Not a fan of that paint job. I'll figure out how to put an Axial shell on it-or just get more panels. Interested to see how those driveshafts and links will hold up.

I saw that today release and I just though about my score truck sitting at home... might have bought the wrong truck.

Damn.. and me and a co worker just ordered our Yetis :/ but at least theres already a zillion ypgrades for the yeti. Id liketo snag one of those bodies though if they fit.
Looking more closely at it I do like the full roll cage and the little fake disc brakes are a nice touch. Probably would have held out for this if it was announced a week earlier :/

Axial Yeti Score

Length: 23" (583mm)

Width: 12" (305mm)

Height: 8.3" (210mm)

Wheelbase: 14.2" (360mm)

Ground Clearance: 1.7" (43mm)

Weight:6.65lbs (3kg)

Losi Baja Rey

Length: 21.6 in (540mm)

Width: 12.6 in (320mm)

Height: 7.6 in (190mm)

Ground Clearance: 2.2 in (55mm)

Wheelbase: 14.6 in (370mm)

Weight: 6.1 lb (2.8kg)

The Losi actually looks like it was designed to be a Trophy Truck where as the Yeti was obviously just wheels/tires and a body slapped on to a rock racer.

I wonder if it will come in a kit version... Building it myself would be cooler.

The Losi's wheelbase is .4 inches longer. The 1.5 in difference in overall length just means the Axial's bumpers stick out further.

I'll take a Bind-n-Drive or kit version... I like the aluminum chassis plate and the overall appearance of the A-arms and such.

That's very interesting. I like the features but I still prefer the Axial Score looks.
