although im thousands of miles away in ky. im goin to cali this summer (i think)and been there b4 and was wandering if there are any crawl spots in tapanga canyon

I've crawled up Red Rock Canyon (off old topanga) and its pretty good.




caves, arches, vertical face rocks...picknick area at base of trailhead...

Its Red Rock Rd from Old Topanga. You need to pay $3 for parking.

However, if you're in topanga you're not far from Corral Canyon which is a far better place to crawl, especially for scalers but 2.2's are fine there too.
Its about 10 minutes up PCH to Corral Canyon Rd, then up to the top another 10 minutes.We've had a few get togethers there. Here are a few videos of that area.

Top of Corral Canyon off Pacific Coast Highway.

Take 10 Fwy west till it ends at the Pacific Ocean-becomes PCH north.
20 minutes on PCH from the 10fwy. second 76 Gas station on the corner of PCH and Corral Canyon. 10 minutes up Corral Canyon till it becomes dirt road, then another 100 feet to the parking area (for hikers).

I dont live too far away so Corral is my first choice usually for a local crawl spot, however, I'm more inclined to drive the distance to Vasquez Rocks as its FAR superior and not that far away really.

wow thanks man thats a lot of info there i'll have to chak em out when i go(if we go) but thanks a lot for it all and do you know where the fadal machining centers are in chattsworth (i think thats where it is)

looks like a ton of work, no? lol. I actually just cut and pasted what I had previously put together for each spot (separately) for our local socal forum a while back. They have a sub-forum just for local crawl spots and each post, for each location, has photos/map/directions/GPS(sometimes) and some general info on the area like parking, etc. Its a pretty good resource.
