| SO CAL***** Anyone up for a run?
Willyswanter and i will be at the 4x4 O-course at Hungry Valley with our RC Crawlers this coming Monday. It will probably be around 10 am untill 2 or 3. Just wanted to let everyone know just in case someone might have the day off and want to do a little crawling. We were there yesterday and had a blast crawling all over the mini Sluice Box. Lots of climbs and technicle stuff to play on for hours. |

Esteban- good thing you couldn't make it to Gorman on Sat. 8/6. We ended up on the Miller Jeep trail most of the day- went into the Yellow Jacket trail spur with the 4Runner & Toy axle Samurai, really just to let a bunch of stock vehicles get a huge head start up the trail. Didn't work- we ran into them at the top of MJT..a brand new Diesel Liberty lost its tranny in the middle of the trail. After we backed him down a bit, I was able to get around him and hook him up with straps and tow him up the last part- barely got enough traction in the 4Runner to get him past nasty part, but we finally made it with gobs of torque....at 196:1 Two rubicons and the liberty were there for hours scratching there heads and without the right stuff to extract him- no tow hooks on the front of the liberty - we had to go around both A-arms, but they held up. Can't make Monday- going to Minot, ND for a work RV Rally! bummer. |

i would like to be there on the 20th but im still working on a truck haha...the only thing i will have running if i dont finish the trail rig is the bruiser and we all know how awesomely good thier crawling abilities are. i just got the chop box back from a friend so now im going to go cut the frame rails and start welding the chassis, i should have the two sides done today...from then on we will see.
