Default Hey ya'll..posting from the top of the Tracycon

I'm new to this forum, names Justin. I've been into rc crawlers for a few months now...and regular RC's for about 6 months. I've been building and wheeling 1:1 Toyotas for 7 years though...member on Pirate4x4..frequent often.

Anyways i'm posting seeing if anybody wants to some bashing and just hobby fun crawling out here. We have a spot a few miles out of town that we dubbed the Tracycon... that has tons of rockpits that we have been building lines..there is trail riding also and hillclimbs.
Nobody bothers us ever. We are working on making more passable trails and a few bridges.
With mine and my buddies work schedules..we usually go out at night and setup 1400watts worth of flood lights and run our honda eu2000. We do crawl it on weekends during daylight.

Anyways not trying to have comps out there...just playing around.

If anybody wants to come out and play around...weeknight or weekend. Shoot me a PM for my #.

I run a SCX10 on 2.2s and a few other mods
My two buddies have a Wraith and a Losi Night Crawler.
Happy crawling...cheers.

I'd attach photos but won't allow. I'll have to host em somewhere else

That's sweet man, we have a couple spots in Livermore also. More rock formations in one spot, right off of Vasco. Might try to get out to your spot to take a look.

There is actually a ton of rocks to play on...big ones for comp rigs but also scale crawling..i didnt show much in pics as i stopped by to play a lil and didnt go down into main area as it was pretty wet and i was runnin a different trail on other side of bridge(the rock pics). There is alot of virgin ground far as trails we havent ran yet also.

Neck built, tire rack built

Heres how I am mounting axles.
Axle consist of 1/2" tubing, 3/8 all thread through. I will double nut the all thread on each side of axle tubing..then a few tack welds to keep it in place. Simple..little little play. The mounts and bracing is still being worked on.

Still deciding on wheels and tires. Need something with a heavy load range foams in it..thinking of Integy Rover steelies but dunno if look right. I wouldnt mind some RC4WD steelies with heavy foams in em but lot of money. Need something on cheaper side. Dont think any premount SCT wheels/tires will work like i wanted.

If anybody has ideas..let me know. Need something in the 1.55/1.9 range and no taller then 3" or so...
