LMAO... I don't crawl L.A. area but I know for a fact Victorville Apple valley area has the BEST rock in so cal.

frogtown, LA river
Elysian park, bashing, trails, Rally trails (even a few ovals and circles in the park) rock crawling, bashing
Griffith Park - tons of shade, but the rangers can be dicks about rc. Keep to yourself and just do your thing. lots of lush groves, mud, inclines.
Griffith Park near the helipad is a quarry with giant piles of soil, rock, etc. Great for bashing, testing, fun spot. rangers tho

been meaning to find a legit spot. For now Elysian is my go-to... Just don't fly planes/drones up there
