| Should I sell my clod, tech inside
This is the longest post of my life, but some opinions would be appreciated. I have a clod that I have built SIX different ways. I can't find a setup I really like. 1. Gecko pro super clod: fun but floppy and unpredictable, also broken stub shafts too often. 2. tube chassis 2.2: decent but fat ugly clod axles aren't my favorite in a 2.2 tuber. went tlt on that one. 3. gecko pro 2.2: no more broken parts, no clearance. crappy turning radius (on all setups). 4. tlt chassis: exactly the same as gecko-made $50 off the gecko . 5. super pimp cane,1/4 scale servo: Awesome performance, but lots of breakage. Also, I don't know anyone with a super so.... no good. 6. Pimp cane 2.2: best so far. The pimp is so simple, it's awesome. No more breakage either. That said, crappy turning radius, minimal articulation on the 2.2 pimp, torsion chassis is no good for bumping over things. So that's it. My tlt and WK crawlers are better all around, no matter what I've done. The clod is amazing at steep climbs and breakovers, but otherwise, it underwhelms me. Should I add front dig, and keep learning to drive, or sell it and get an axial to round out my stable of 2.2 shafties? |
