| ATTN: Die hard TLT guys. Have you jumped ship into the Axial camp?
I've been running an SW2 TLT rig for just about a year now and have a brand new TLT kit ready to build up. After postponing the TLT build, I've finally decided to build up an Axial kit. I can't stop reading the Axial build threads and at least once a week, I fill up the virtual shopping cart at TCS, RCP, Holmes and CKRC. I've yet to hit the 'checkout' button, but it's only a matter of time. Just curious how the dyed in the wool TLT guys are feeling in the midst of all this Axial goodness floating around . |

I was torn between the two and decided to go with the TLT, but I'm still pretty new and I'm still learning so maybe I should have went with a axial...... oh well

I am not on the AX-10 axle bandwagon.

I am a TLT fan myself. But I will build a AX10 eventually just to have it.

the only axial part i own is a transmission... ive got 1 TLT comp rig, 1 tlt 2.2 scaler, im building a 1.9 TLT scaler, and ive got another set of loaded axles waiting here for a 2.2 hustler build. after ive got those 4 running ill start building axial parts.

I'm all over the Axial like white on rice. Couple of tweaks and the thing works awesome. |

All tlt's here about 4or5 of them. I would like to try an axial, but can't see buying more axles when I have tlt's laying around. |

| the tlt is becoming outdated
i run tlt axles currently, but that was the only option when i built my first crawler. the ax10 is more cost effective now, because i can get 2 axles for $85 where with the tlt i cant even find any for sale, also, the ax10 has more spare parts availability. the tlt axles cost more now from what i've heard. some people have said they cost $125 most places. axial axles are also better built, pre-locked, and have bearings stock. so it is pretty clear which axle is the best choice. the tlt still can be usefull for scalers because of the narrower wheelbase. the tlt had its glory but now has become outdated for the most part. it might have been different if they hadn't been discontinued, but tamiya discontinued them and supplies are running out.

I got fed up with the tlt crap and sold all of it and bought a couple axials. The axials are way better imo in every way possible. The only thing I would use tlt axles on anymore would be a 1.9er because they are narrower. |

I'm a tlt guy. I don't have a problem with the axial and If I ever need new axles I'll prolly get axials but all my parts and rigs are built around tlt axles.

no one simple reason all the new axles are wider and no good for 1.9 hardbody scalers.

My reason-when I first got into 2.2's I had TLT. I jumped the thing off cliffs, just plain beat the crap out of them with minimal damage-before hop ups were invented. I spend the money on Axial, first few times I drive a hub carrier breaks from a baby fall, then a hub, then a housing, then a axle, then a locker, etc.... I know I have gotten alot more use out of TLT axles than I ever have a set of Axials. |

I bailed on the TLT thing about a month ago, but didn't feel like going with the Axial, I went with a Wheely King. I got tired of the cash needed to build up half decent axles with a TLT, and the WK seems to wheel better for me where I run the most. It's also nice to have the parts more readily availible out here, although Hobby People has started getting a few Axial parts. Leroy v2.0, new WK for me |

Exactly. I think the reason most people stay with their TLT axles is only becasue they have 3 times the value in them. Figure Axial axles ready to bolt on run about $90 yet a TLT axle setup in equal strength will wind up costing a person about $150 or more. I sold my stock TLT axles and purchased Axial ones with only $10 out my pocket. I have 3 times the axle with less chances of broken parts. | |

I'll keep using TLT for scale rigs because they are narrower but the axials are stronger in my opinion for less $ so on a comp rig or basher they are the way to go.
