Default PSA: When driving a truck with about 18 tons of explosives in it, drive with care.

http://sltrib.com/ci_2932207#

"The blast tore out a crater - 30 feet deep by 70 feet across - in the road, took chunks out of the canyon wall, set more than a dozen brush fires and damaged a Union Pacific rail line."

"The explosion blew the truck 100 feet up the rock cliff and it slid back down onto the road. All that was identifiable hours later were the engine and the frame."

Towards the end of the article they quote one of the highway patrol as saying this particular section of road has one semi a month turn over.. You'd think they would try and fix the road or something. Pictures are crazy..

That is pritty crazy, but come on would you let a guy like this deliver a truck load of explosives even if he is the passenger?

That explosion made it possible for me to go to the utrcrc comp this weekend. I can't make it to the inlaws now that there is no highway.

You mean she isn't going to make you take the long way, down I-15 to I-70?

Even after they widened it road sucks. Not much you can do though because of the terrain. Some of these truckers just don't have enough brains to learn to slow down when driving down a tight, twisty canyon road.
