Sounds to me like he was trying to take care of his responsibilities.... hired a landscaper, got called up, landscaper flaked out.... The soldier did sign a legal contract.... but I don't see how you can call being called up (involuntarily) his personal life? Perhaps you can try to explain that comment.... The developer put his oversized shoe in his oversized mouth. He didn't sound very willing when he said: “I really don’t give a f**k where he is or what his problem is” 'Ol Chick the hay farmer really inserted his oversize foot into his oversize mouth..... Good luck trying to sell his houses now:lol: |

I'll explain that comment by saying that he had plenty of time to get the landscaping done before he was called up. Therefore it is his personal life that interfered with it getting done. I agree, the developer should have been more tactful when talking to the media. I'm sure he was frustrated at the time, but since then he has shown willingness to compromise. |

I don't think that even those who live with HOA's would know about the initial HOA legal rules. I was just trying to help clarify. On an unrelated note, its great to see the neighbors rally to the aid of their countrymen. Something you dont see regularly enough... "thumbsup" |

We had subdivisions with HOA's all around us in Northern California. Luckily, my family was there for 100+ years before the other homes were built, so my family never had to deal with the sometimes looney rules that they had:lol:. HOA's in some instances could be a good thing. The developer that we're all talking about here went off the deep end, IMO. Like you said, it is great to see neighbors and strangers come in and help out that family. |
no prob. I hate HOA's. Good in theory, bad in practice. breeds little minded people to taste power... Every time I have to deal with my HOA I want to strangle someone... |
