Default Atlas 2, kind of.....

One of the reasons I have been a little busy....

Testing is under way. This model has no gear reduction but is able to shift between 2x4 and 4x4. This same basic Transfer Case will also have options that allow for front dig, rear dig, or both. I have left some parts out of the JPEG's and warped others for security but you get a good idea of a final product will look like. The rough dimensions are....

Less then 2.25" wide

Case is less then 1.5" tall and deep

Is this something you guys are looking for? I tried to get as close to the Atlas 2 look as possible.

Been waiting for something like this! Looks great.

A reduction would have been nice, I would take that over the shifting feature but I really cant complain

the problem with gear reduction is space. I wanted the transfer case to look scale in a 1/10 scale.

Thats pretty dope. 5mm shafts I am guessing? I just made one with some pinions and such, but I bet yours will be a lot quieter and mine can't be 2wd/4wd.

2)When will they be available?
3)How much we talking?
4)How does the selectable 2/4wd work?

Have a Jeep body here that need one of these... and a Hilux.

Front and rear dig with a single servo would be killer. Flip it one way front dig, center it 4wd, flip it the other way rear dig.

even if it doesnt select between 2 and 4x4 if you could attach a simple gear reduction unitup under the hood there would be a huge market. Just being able to put all that weight of a 540 up front would be great (I know it can be done now with enough engineering)

For reduction couldn't you just put one of those planetary reduction units that attaches to the motor directly on it and then run a shaft to this to select 2-4 wheel drive? I would love to get a couple of these, keep up the good work

YEAH BOYEE!!
I want one!! I just got a body off Ebay for a nice scale build this will be perfect for!
I'd be happy enough with, maybe even only want, 2WD/4WD selectable.
