Yep, it's approaching $2 here as well (never figured out why it's cheaper further away from Houston since the refineries are fairly close by, but whatever). This decreasing gas price is a bad sign....

Any where from $2.49-$2.75 within ten miles of each other. I love how the prices range place to place.

i aint complainin camaro gets 8-9 mpg. time to start stock piling for 09 summer time boating.

plus cheaper gas means more money in peoples pockets, more money means more spending, more spending turns the economy around.

dont you worry when this turns around the prices will start skyrocketing with .30c jumps a day

It's been $3.20 - $2.70 in my area.

I heard on the news that historicly the prices always drop around election time, and go back up after that.

Unless there are fewer jobs because of the economic situation. Then it means that people cant afford to buy the cheaper gas.

Either way, I hope for the best, but expect the worst...

I love how the news reports the "national average" at like 2.10. It's about 2.99 here and never even close to the national average. At least they are coming down though!

We're holding in at $2.15 to $2.29. Sadly I need Premium and around here that all over. Some are $0.20 more (normal) but some are running $2.75 for some reason.

National average means an average over the nation, not just California. Regardless of your opinion, California is not the center of the universe.

CA's gas is always more expensive due to all the extra additives they need for pollution...

Really? And this whole time I thought we were the center of the universe

Best price around Sacramento is around $2.50 and I'll take it!

Like stated before our gas prices are higher due to the additives and the huge amount of taxes we have to pay at the pump also. It cost's more to live in the center of the universe...

Don't know where you are in Ga, but here in Augusta Ga. it's $2.70+ and in Atlanta it's still around $3.00 a gallon!
