Default How much $$$ on RC a month?

Okay... so this is kind of a funny thread but I've been in this hobby for about 18 years (31 now, started when I was 13) and I've always wondered... how much do you guys spend a month to feed your rc fetish?

I don't make a ton of money, but I'm not that bad off either... what I don't get is those guys that buy like 3 rigs a month on top of their already overflowing rc collection... how much are you guys spending for crying out loud?

Enough to make a couple of 1:1 car payments if I had a payment!

Yeah but Kenny... that's to be expected from you You have more builds/rides here than I can remember... I envy you

I try to give myself about 100-200 bucks a month... but this only tides me over in terms of parts... whenever I need to buy a new rig, I seem to go way over...

pssh...I haven't spent a dime on my r/c stuff in months...sucks when life overwhelms you and everything but work, family, and sleep gets put on the shelf.:?

When I got married, I had well over $10K worth of r/c cars and goods. At my peak, I had 24 complete cars and trucks (complete meaning full electronics and radio gear for each one).

Funny how life sneaks up and switches your priorities for you, whether you like it or not.

It's funny what changes when you add a wife to your resume

I don't like to even think how much I spend on this hobby but judging on my 4 crawlers (not including my super and scaler that are still in process) all my nitro stuff (on shelve) my endless collection of buggies and my 14 airplanes I'd say it's enough

Way more than I ever wanted to, this year I have spent around 3,000-4,000 I'll normally end up spending about 200-400 a month. I need help, lots of help.

i "try" to give myself a 400 / month rc buget.

i usually end up buying a bunch of spare parts and building material so when i do get a chance to work on projects i can move forward w/o a hitch.

when it comes to buying somthing over the 400 mark i "try" to save that months 4 and then buy whatever i need th next month.

*notice the quotation marks around the word "try," more often time than not, i end up spending more

I try not to come out of pocket more than about $250 a month, but most that stuff is discounted nicely

This thread is worthless without pictures. Like anyone in there right mind is going to disclose their "habit costs" to the general population. I will keep you guessing for now. Last count on SCALERS was 40 plus... Kenny who?

This year, out of my own personal pockets... about $75. Gift cards are rad. Ask RBGerrish, every time I go into Tammies, I have a stack of Toyota gift cards.

Default How Much On Rc Stuff a Month

If I don't break anything I don't spend any money. I'll round it out to 50 bucks a Month. " I'm a Baller on a Budget ".

I'l say about 150 - 200$ x month but there are also sales for unused rigs or parts so probably is just half.

Well when I worked at the lhs and had no car and insurence I was spending pretty much my entire paycheck, so about $500 a month some times less some times more. Now I give myself a $100 budget a month, it kinda sucks but I pretty much have everything I need, there's just all the wants. Once I find a job it should get better, but I can't even find a burger joint that will hire me?

I don't really have a budget, and since I don't have a LHS it works out quite well...no immediate temptations.

Generally I only buy what I need, when I need it. I spent a bunch in rapid fashion when I started my 2.2, but its dropped off considerably since then. I'm currently at $20-$50 a month.
