Just bought a new 6x12 wood deck (2"x12") trailer for my ATVs, which hopefully will turn into a Commander... The trailer itself really does not have too many points of attachment, so I am installing etrack. I have four 5' pieces, one for each corner, I am going to use #12x1.5" washer-head lag screws, one in every other hole. The million dollar question, do I install backing plates? Thoughts? |

yes through bolt and back with foundation washers the big square ones any kind of side load and those lag bolts will rip out your tie down points ultumitly should be conected directly to the trailer frame wood dosent hold up well with the forces a heavy atv/utv on it create but ive seen some crazy trailer set ups so anything is posable for a period of time Last edited by ferp420; 07-13-2022 at 09:14 PM. |
