I plan on brining my turkey this year and then slow cooking over coal. We'll see how that goes. Good luck frying your bird. SS |

Since I have been at home (broken ankle) I've been watching too much tv. Any way I saw a paid advertising deal for an electric turkey fryer. Looks like less mess, indoor and less oil. if you care... https://www.masterbuilt.com/mbtv08/index.aspx |

Just make sure you guys don't deep fry the house while you're at it.

i did this a couple of years ago. i can't remember what the marinade was that we used. it was something really simple. but i do remember rubbing mustard over the whole thing. damn it was good. might have to do it again this year. | |

I love the TV ad where the guy forgets to defrost the turkey. Throws it in the deep fryer and blows everything up. Cool ad. |

I'm injecting mine with some Home-brewed Beer brewed out of the same pot! Should be done fermenting and in the kegerator the day before the thanksgiving! We'll see how a turkey tastes with some Irish Stout inside |
