| I love my cough medicine.
I can't take over the counter cough syrup due to all the artificial sweetners & other chemicals the use. So, I make my own soothing cough & sore throat drink. Recipe: 1 cup of hot tea (the hotter the better) 1 tablespoon of honey (coats the throat) 1/2 shot Makers Mark Bourbon Whisky optional: 1 shake of Cayenne Pepper Sip slowly, warming if needed. Guaranteed to sooth any sore throat or cough, and if it doesn't, just have another. Eventually, it'll either sooth you or you just won't care. |

Forget the Hot Tea, Honey and all that other stuff, just take a good few shots of the Whiskey and you won't even care about feeling sick. LOL!

My grandpa used to do the same thing, taught it to my dad who passed the same down to me. I'm not a drinker (well not a good one) but that sure tastes good BTW, I guess they used to call that a Hot Totty. |

BTW, Ricola cough drops - just the regular ones are great. I used to have to lecture at the Univ. I taught at for nearly 3 hours sometimes. It was the only thing that kept the voice going when the throat was nasty and raspy.

I get very sick on codeine. I can't take the stuff. I've honestly had negative affects on most anything I've ever taken that was harder than alcohol or Motrin.

People try to talk to me, and I have the responses in my head, they just never make it to my mouth!

| I get that, too, and throw on top of it extreme nausea & even violent vomitting after a couple days.
